Red Bull’s Flugtag is back on the 7th June 2008! The idea is to make your own flying machine and — well, basically fly it into the Serpentine.
They have most generously given E4 an official entry and E4 want their own fans to represent them at the Flugtag. One lucky team consisting of four friends will be E4’s official team at the big day. The winning team will get to design, build and pilot their own masterpiece!
All you have to do is get creative with your flying machine, make sure it fits the E4 brand and can fly a bit — we don’t want to come last!

As well as representing E4, you will be in with the chance of winning some cracking prizes…
1st Prize: Flying Lessons or some trips in aerobatic planes, or just take the money and run, to the tune of £5,000

3rd Prize: Tandem parachute from 15,000 feet, or £1,000

What’s Red Bull Flugtag?

The infamous Red Bull Flugtag is back! Once again, the UK’s most creative, exhilarating and downright loony event will splash down into the cool waters of The Serpentine in London’s Hyde Park on June 7th 2008.
This year we’re looking for fearless inventors to represent their region of Great Britain by designing, constructing and flying their own man-powered aircraft. Competitors from Scotland, Wales, The North, The Midlands and The South (yes that includes you Londoners!) will battle it out to be the King of the Skies.
So do you think you’ve got what it takes to soar through the skies over London in your own wacky design whilst your ground crew entertains the screaming crowds? If so, download a copy of the design manual now, get your thinking caps on and make sure you upload your fantastic and fabulous, in fact, your fantabulous Flugtag entry by 5pm on Friday 14th March.
