Kid Rock Grabs Lynyrd Skynyrd, More Spectacle for Summer Tour

"I like to focus on really giving people a good show," Kid Rock says

Lynyrd Skynyrd Rock and Rebels Tour Tickets $11.50-$76

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Just like last summer, Kid and Skynyrd are teaming up for a trip through the sheds. Unlike last time, however, the bands won't be jamming together — instead, you'll get full sets from each, including a pyro-and go-go dancer-filled spectacle from Kid Rock. "The last few years, we've kind of stripped everything away to go out and prove that we could do this without anything, without the girls dancing, without the pyro, with nothing, and just go out and give a great show," Kid says. "That gave us some of the best reviews and, more importantly, best responses I've ever gotten from the fans. Maybe we could bring a little bit of that back and have some fun intros, maybe throw in some pyro for 'Bawitdaba' or some of those big spectacles."

And even though he's already deep into a new CD, Kid says you shouldn't expect to hear too much new material: "I don't want to bore people, but I think there's a few of the songs that are instant listeners," he says. "I like to look at it like a fan. I like to go out and play the hits and pop in some of the old stuff that we haven't played in a while and switch it up. I like to focus on really giving people the songs they want to hear and a good show rather than trying to force-feed them new material."
