Snoop Suit

Snoop Suit

(LOS ANGELES) - Death Row artist Snoop Doggy Dogg (Calvin Broadus) is being sued by his former manager Sharitha Knight, wife of Death Row owner Marion "Suge" Knight, over his alleged failure to pay Knight the full 20% managerial fees due her. The suit, filed May 29 in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges that Broadus did not honor the financial terms of the contract, in effect from Aug. 3, 1993, to Aug. 3, 1996, and that there is a "serious risk" that because the rapper is "spending large sums of money on frivolous items," the royalties he receives "will likely be spent or placed out of reach" before the plaintiff can collect. The suit seeks a trust to hold all royalties until the case is decided, compensatory damages, and reimbursement of legal fees.
