Didn't see the Tibetan Freedom Concert last June? That's Ok because now you can hear tracks from both days on a new three-CD set.|
The first two discs will feature select tracks from the 1997 concert held this past June at New York's Downing Stadium on Randall's Island. The collection features music from the likes of Ben Harper, Radiohead, Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready, Blur, Alanis Morissette and Beastie Boys among others.
The third CD is enhanced, featuring tracks from the San Francisco Tibetan Freedom Concert, which took place in 1996. That disc features Beck, Rage Against the Machine, Fugees, De La Soul and Cibo Matto, as well as sound bites from the Dalai Lama himself. The enhanced CD also contains photos from the '96 concert and information on Tibet.
The CD is slated for release on Nov. 4 coinciding with the release of a full-length feature film on the Tibetan Freedom Concert. (AB)
