Is there anything better in the world than pop music? Great pop music that is - lacklustre pop music should be a criminal offence, punishable by making the offender listen to Black Lace for eternity. So many artists - Madonna, Britney, Pink, JT, Amy, Duffy, Beyonce, Girls Aloud, Take That, Katy Perry and Kylie, plus oodles of others old, new and inbetween.
Pop music isn't just about the music though - it's about a lifestyle, an image, feather boas and bustin' a move. It's about grabbing life, twirling it round till it's a little bit sick and then feeding it more candyfloss. It's about being loud, it's about not caring, it's about singing 'zig-ah-zig-ahhhh!' with a straight face and meaning every syllable. Some people claim pop music is fluff and beneath them.
