(NEW YORK) - Josh Wink, Sylk 130 (aka King Britt), and Jamie Myerson are among the techno artists slated to appear in Modulations, a cinematic history of electronic music. Lensed by documentary film maker Iara Lee, best known for Synthetic Pleasures, an examination of man-made pleasures, Modulations will trace the progression of electronica beginning with Can and Kraftwerk's industrial folk and continuing through Detroit techno, Chicago house, jungle's beat collages, and the hip-hop avant garde. Visit www.syntheticpleaseure.com for information on the project, and pick up an Ovum Sampler, due May 27 on Ovum Recordings/RuffHouse/Columbia, for a preview of music by Wink, Sylk 130, and Myerson.
