Professional arm-whittler Madonna looks set to have all her private and somewhat personal sweet nothings disclosed to the world in a very public auction. ‘Erotic phone messages, intimate amateur video and lovey-dovey faxes’ which the singer sent to a former lover are just some of the items up for sale in the US. Staggeringly, a cassette featuring answer phone messages from the singer are going for minimum bid of $25,000!! We’re scratching our heads in bewilderment with who could possibly want to listen to her dull drones, but if anyone is up for starting a collection for a permanent muffler, then put us down for a fiver…
The festival season is well into its stride and here are two events you definitely don’t want to miss. First up is South West Four which gets down to business between August 29-30 in the picturesque setting of Clapham Common - where better to host house-inspired mash-up? Sasha & Digweed will once again top the bill, while Armin Van Buuren and Danny Howells make up the additional headliners across four other stages that take on an altogether more mainstream vibe. Thrash-metallers Slayer are back with their next release in September/October, but as a precursor to that we’ve got some behind-the-scenes footage from the studio including new charmingly titled single Hate Worldwide.
