Alesha Dixon
Formerly best known as one third of R&B trio Mis-Teeq, Alesha Dixon shot back to the public's attention in the UK via her dazzling dancing skills, waltzing to fame by winning 2007's Strictly Come Dancing title. The win was timely, as her first solo album Fired Up had only seen the light of day in Japan; post-Strictly, Alesha was snapped up by a new record company and put to work with current pop svengalis Xenomania. The result is 2008 album The Alesha Show whose lead single The Boy Does Nothing sashayed into the charts with ease.
The UK public adore Alesha, the London girl with the cackling laugh. Time will tell if her second brush with fame will prove to be a lasting one, but for the moment, Alesha's riding the wave.
