Scouting For Girls

Scouting for Girls are a London-based trio formed in 2005 by band members Roy Stride (vocals/keyboards), Greg Churchouse (bass guitar) and Peter Ellard (percussion). The band's name is derived from a 1908 handbook outlining the principles of scouting, unsurprisingly called Scouting for Boys.
Their self-titled platinum-selling debut was released in 2007 and reached the top spot on the album charts thanks to the success of singles such as She's So Lovely and Elvis Ain't Dead. Their keyboard-inspired sound caught some sort of zeitgeist in 2008, clambering its way through the speakers of every department store and student halls in the land. The band received three nominations for the 2009 BRIT Awards which should ensure that their quest for the fairer sex continues unabated with tongue placed firmly in cheek.
