The German dark wave/gothic outfit L'Âme Immortelle was formed by Thomas Rainer, Hannes Medwenitsch and Sonja Kraushofer in '96. They released their debut album "Lieder die Wie Wunden Bluten" ("Songs That Bleed Like Wounds") the following year. It spawned the German gothic hit "Life Will Never be the Same Again". Their 1998 issue "In Einer Zukunft Aus Tränen und Stahl" ("In A Future Made of Steel and Tears") contained the Goth hymn "Bitterkeit" ("Bitterness"). In 2004, the band signed to a major label and released the album "Gezeiten" ("Tides").
