The ensemble Al Ayre Español was founded in the year 1988 by Eduardo López Banzo. Comprised of members famed for their expertise in performing early music the outfit quickly became one of the leading ensembles of Baroque music of Europe. Recent full-lengths album releases included offerings such as “A Batallar Estrellas” (2004), “Literes – Júpiter y Semele” (2005) and “The Spanish Cantada in South America” (2005). Al Ayre Español has toured Europe extensively and has performed at virtual all important festivals of early music.
