Juliette Greco
Juliette Gréco was born in Montpellier, in the south of France, on February 7, 1927. With a background of Bohemianism in the café society of the post-war years, Gréco made her public debut at the legendary café ‘Le Bœuf sur le Toit’ in 1949, performing material by a host of famous French writers including Jacques Prévert, who also penned her first single “Je suis comme je suis”. Her new style chanson and mysterious dark looks quickly established her as one of France’s international icons. In 2003 the 76 years old star issued the LP “Aimez-vous les uns les autres, ou bien disparaissez”.
