Yello
Arguably Switzerland's only world class act in decades (apart from Stephan Eicher, Krokus and DJ Bobo), electro pioneers Yello were unique. Artistically located somewhere between Kraftwerk's conceptual approach and DAF's focus on physical impact, Yello were the brainchild of composers Boris Blank and Argentinian-born Carlos Peron. When they found a "spokesperson" (more than "singer") in Dieter Meier, an independent wealthy cosmopolitan, the world was theirs to take. Yello's career peaked the mid-80's with "You Gotta Say Yes To Another Excess".
