Ursula Rucker
The US American poet and spoken word artist Ursula Rucker was born and raised in Philadelphia. In the 1990’s she was given the chance to prove her talents with musicians such as 4 Hero, The Silent Poets and most notably The Roots. She released her debut album "Supa Sista" in September 2001 and it featured various musical styles from Philly soul, hip-hop and drum’n’bass to electronica. In 2005 Rucker headlined the Freedom Tour through Australia. Other albums by Ursula Rucker included "Silver Or Lead" (2003) and "Ma'at Mama" (2006), produced by Anthony Tidds.
