(NEW YORK) - May 16 will be RAINN Day, a day set aside to build awareness of the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network, which was co-founded by Tori Amos. The Washington, D.C.-based organization is asking radio and TV stations to play a public-service announcement from Amos at noon that includes information about RAINN, which operates a toll-free national hotline for sexual-assault victims. MTV and VH1 have already agreed to participate. A promotional CD that includes the announcement and Amos' song "Silent All These Years" shipped to radio Friday; a video version for TV will be made available May 14 via satellite.
