The Rapture
The indie rock outfit The Rapture formed in New York, USA back in the year 1998. After touring extensively they recorded their debut album “Mirror” in 1999, an exercise in cold-blooded, charmingly sloppy post punk esthetics. But they had to be quick about it, as new tours awaited them. However, in 2001 they found time to record the EP “Out of the Races and Onto the Tracks”. The EP “House of Jealous Lovers” (2002) made a bit of a splash, and in the year 2003 The Rapture finally released a second full-length album titled “Echoes”.
