The Meteors were masterminded by guitarist and vocalist Paul Fenech. Combining the classic rockabilly sound with an obsession with horror movies, cartoonish violence and death in general, the Meteors became the UK's leading psychobilly band. In '81, they issued their first album "In Heaven" (Island Records), but the band's real breakthrough came two years later with "Wreckin' Crew", which featured a hit single cover version of "Johnny Remember Me". No less than seventeen official albums followed, including "Bastard Sons of a Rock'n'Roll Devil".
