Album Review
The Libertines' music exists in some alternate universe where the sloppy, British punk of the late '70s is somehow married to the lyrical, melodic drama of the great jangling post-punk bands. "Can't Stand Me Now" is the key track here, a song that wheezes and sputters, but is somehow still a rock solid pop song.
