Album Review

The band's second album is a mess of stumbling pop songs and rock 'n' roll-addled punk rock. Both Pete Doherty and Carl Barat trade off lyrics and strangled guitarlines that build into momentous bursts of inspiring, ragged brilliance. This is the sort of stuff that makes indie rockers want to join a gang.
