We are lucky to live in the same era as the Devil Dogs. A lot of bands talk about capturing the sound and energy of true Punk/rock 'n' roll, but none of them did it like the Devil Dogs. Theirs was dancing music for Ritalin kids -- controlled, spastic guitars reeled off riffs which still bring to mind all the great, raucous chords you've ever heard. Like a maniac ride on the Coney Island Cyclone with a stomach full of Nathan's Hot Dogs, their N.Y.C. rock 'n' roll energy exploded from every song. Completely sincere behind their sneers, the Devil Dogs were forceful in their opinion of how rock 'n' roll should sound, and they expressed that opinion beautifully and vigorously.
