The Boo Radleys
Though not quite as successful as a certain other band from Liverpool fellow musicians, The Boo Radleys seem to have done most of their short time in the sun. From 1988 on the band played a hypnotic yet playful kind of indie pop with an alternative charm and many references to music history. After getting good reviews with their album "Giant Steps", the band had their big break with follow-up "Wake Up" and the single "Wake Up Boo" in '95. They then leaned more towards an arty sound and success waned. In early 1999 they officially disbanded.
