(NASHVILLE) - The Allman Brothers Band will follow their 12 sold-out nights at New York's Beacon Theater with a 40-show summer tour. The tour begins June 20 with two shows at the Great Woods Center for the Performing Arts, Mansfield, Mass. The band will perform similar split bills at ones Beach Theater, Wantaugh, N.Y., June 21, and PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel, N.J. , 28. The band has confirmed the departure of guitarist Warren Haynes and bassist Allen Woody, who left to pursue their own interests, particularly the band Govt Mule. Their replacements, to be announced soon, will join founding members Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Jaimoe and Butch Trucks and longtime percussionist Marc Quinones.
