The All-American Rejects
High school friends Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter formed the All-American Rejects in their hometown of Stillwater, Okla. By 2000, they had recorded a few demos that showcased their brand of scrappy, stylish guitar-pop. They self-released their debut album in 2000 and were immediately courted by major labels looking to bring their radio-ready power pop to the masses. The track "Swing, Swing" became the Rejects' first major hit.
