T.I. is in a strange place at the moment: on the verge of releasing a new album (Paper Trail, out September 30), he’s also working on a thousand hours of community service — part of the deal he cut to avoid a decades-long sentence for posession of machine guns. Rolling Stone caught up with T.I. in his native Atlanta to hang out with the MC, who says his album will reflect his current state of mind. “When I started recording, the songs were angry,” T.I. says. “But as time went on, I had to accept responsibility for the part I played in all this madness.” Click below for more on T.I., including a photo gallery showing a day in the life of a multi-platinum rapper.
