Britney Spears Loses Visitation Rights, Radiohead to Tour in ‘08, Mariah Carey LP Delayed

In news that should surprise no one, including Britney Spears, the judge overseeing the pop star’s child-custody case has suspended Brit’s visitation rights. Spears apparently failed to comply with an unspecified court order. Cue “Oops, I Did It Again” joke: The judge had previously said that it was Spears’ inability to follow court directive that made her lose custody in the first place. Radiohead will go on an international tour starting next May to promote the album that will be about eight months old by then. No word whether the “pay what you think its worth” scheme will involve tickets, or if they’re bypassing Ticketmaster and self-releasing tix. Lawyers for T.I. are contemplating pleading guilty to the gun charges in exchange for their client to be released into house arrest while he awaits sentencing. There is about twenty-five good reasons why the judge might not go for the house arrest idea, not including T.I.’s past felony convictions. Mariah Carey has pushed back her album from November to February because, as one overzealous fan slanderously tells Perez Hilton, “instead of working on it on the studio right now, she is whoring up all over L.A. clubs.” Despite speculation to the contrary, Peter Gabriel insists he will not be rejoining his old Genesis bandmates on their current reunion tour. Gabriel had planned to see the band perform in Rome, but he was unable to make the show.
