Watch the White Stripes’ Bullish “Conquest” Video, Jesus & Mary Chain Ready New Album, Ryan Adams Announces West Coast Dates

The White Stripes have unveiled the much-anticipated video for “Conquest,” which features Jack White playing the role of a cocky bullfighter. The video plays with the song’s lyrics of “hunter became the prey,” only replacing the song’s man/woman relationship with the more bestial man/bull. Still, White does a remarkable job of looking like an actual matador (he’s far more convincing than that guy in Madonna’s “Take a Bow” video). Is that a smile on Meg’s face as Jack lays injured on the ground? You decide. Prosecutors in the case against T.I. filed papers stating they would introduce into evidence three previous weapons incidents on his record. T.I. was caught illegally packing a 9mm in 2001, 10mm heat in 2002 and a firearm with a silencer in 2004. He is currently under mansion arrest while he awaits trial. Starbucks and iTunes will release a new “John Lennon Video Collection” on December 4th. The collection, which features twenty-one Lennon music videos from the Capitol/EMI era, will be available as digital release collectible cards featuring a silver-toned photo of Lennon. After reuniting at this year’s Coachella, the Jesus & Mary Chain are now narrowing down the tracklist for their still-untitled new album. The band’s last album was 1998’s Munki. One new song, “All Things Must Pass,” will appear on an episode of NBC’s Heroes early next year. Ryan Adams & the Cardinals have announced some concert dates for January 2008.
