Status Quo

The rock band Status Quo formed in London, England back in 1967. They developed out of a psychedelic outfit called Traffic Jam. Their 1967 debut single as Status Quo, "Pictures of Matchstick Men", immediately made it into the UK Top Ten. The group was to enjoy chart success primarily in England - except for Germany the rest of the world didn't listen. Their British career really took off in 1973 with their album "Piledriver". SQ are probably best remembered for their anthem-like 1977 cover of the John Fogerty song "Rockin' All Over the World".
