Split Enz

Split Enz were New Zealand's biggest pop export and became a well-known band on the international stage throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's. The band was initially formed by Tim Finn and Phil Judd and their earliest performances occurred in theatres in their home country, with members of the band dressed in elaborate costumes. The band's debut album, "Mental Notes", was released in 1975 and was the beginning of the band's steady rise in Australia and New Zealand. Split Enz eventually disbanded with Neil Finn going on to form Crowded House with drummer Paul Hester.
