Sleeper is a band from the UK, closely associated with the Britpop movement. Their breakthrough hit in the mid-1990's, "Inbetweener", was hugely popular with youngsters, partly due to the video produced by Dale Winton. The band's lead singer, Louise Werner, became extremely popular, and achieved sex symbol status. Their debut album "Smart" was released in 1995, reaching #5 in the charts. They followed with "The It Girl" in '96, which also reached #5. By the time they released their third album, "Pleased to Meet You", in 1997, Britpop was fading. They disbanded in 1998.
