(LOS ANGELELS) - Ry Cooder has been signed to compose an original musical score for Universal Pictures' and Mutual Film Co.'s Primary Colors, starring John Travolta and Emma Thompson and directed by Mike Nichols.|
Cooder, a three-time Grammy Award-winning musician, well-known for his blues-flavored slide guitar, has scored such films as The End of Violence and Paris, Texas for Wim Wenders and The Long Riders, Southern Comfort, Streets of Fire, Trespass, Geronimo: An American Legend and Last Man Standing for Walter Hill.
The film will open nationwide on March 20.
