Rubyhorse was formed in 1997, in Cork City, Ireland. They set their sights on America, moving to Boston in 1998. They played at Irish pubs in the city, and soon gained a following. Their debut album, "How Far Have You Come?", was released, and won three Boston Music Awards. They toured nationally over the next year and rose to number one on the MP3 charts. The band signed with Island Records in 2001, recording an album entitled "Rise", which was released in May 2002. In 2004 they released "Goodbye To All That". Rubyhorse's sound has been compared to that of Verve, the Beatles, and U2.
