To mark tonight’s Idol Gives Back charity special, the hopefuls were asked to sing inspirational songs, so we learned Our Lady Peace inspire David Cook (Daughtry alert!) and Robbie Williams inspires David Archuleta (is this kid really American?). Michael Johns wore a neckerchief, Brooke White pretended to be Carole King and Syesha Mercado stupidly argued she shouldn’t be compared to Fantasia after she sang a Fantasia song.
