Rita Lee's commitment as a singer has driven Brazilian rock and dance-music for over three decades. Measured in years on the charts, and in sheer charisma and drive, she may well be one of the most successful and enduring female rock performers world-wide. Lee first gained prominence working with the influential band Os Mutantes. Comparing her first recording and her recent solo works is an inspiration--her artistic growth coming through loud and clear. She has released albums since 1970, and of late she has been releasing two CD's a year. "MTV Ao Vivo" came out to acclaim in 2005.
