Rahzel
The psychedelic rock outfit Rare Earth formed in Detroit, USA in 1967. Their first hit was a short version of their cover of the Temptations song “Get Ready” – the single version, which consisted basically of the first three minutes of the 21-minute version contained on their 1969 album of the same title, became a Top Ten hit in 1969. Their 1970 album “Ecology” spawned two hits – one of them, “(I Know) I’m Losing You”, again a Temptations cover. After the mid-seventies the band began to drop off the hit radar, and by the mid-eighties Rare Earth had become a feature on the oldies circuit.
