(NEW YORK) - Early work from Pulp, the Pastels, Chuck Prophet, and Television Personalities constitute the first wave of Fire Records catalog that will be reissued in the States by New York-based label VelVel. Pulp's Masters Of The Universe, It, and Freaks; shambolic popsters the Pastels',Up For A Bit With The Pastels; former Green On Red leader Chuck Prophet's solo debut, Brother Aldo; and post-punk act Television Personalities' They Could Have Been Bigger Than The Beatles will be in stores Aug. 5. Velvel is to reissue further releases by cult British label Fire, whose roster includes records by Spacemen 3, Teenage Fanclub, Urge Overkill, and the Lemonheads.
