Germany's Pole (aka Stefan Betke) is in love with the sounds between the beats: he focuses on the intricate structures and minute fragments of stretched-out beats and fractured textures, making heavy use of filters, echoes and the gentle crackling hum of white noise. Pole's newer material is a bit more cohesive, though there's still plenty of room for your head and ears to wander.
