The UK jungle act Photek, a.k.a. Rupert Parkes, has been active on the British scene since the early nineties. He was one of the pioneers of "intelligent" drum'n'bass and has been noted for his very detailed drum programming and his use of abstract sounds. He released numerous albums such as "Hidden Camera" or "Solaris" and EP's with titles like "Mine to Give" or "Form & Function". In recent years Photek started working in the field of producing music for films and relocated to Los Angeles, USA where he is busy pursuing his new vocation.
