Nacha Pop
A Spanish pop-rock group formed in 1978, Nacha Pop spent eight years on top of the charts. Nacho Garcia (formerly of Helicopeter Uhu) and Carlos Pascow recruited Garcia's singer/songwriter cousin, Antonio Vega to make a demo, which landed them on Hispavox. 1980's successful self-titled debut, produced by Teddy Bautista, was followed by "Buena Disposicion", "Mas Numeros", "Otras Lettras" and "El Momento", and an EP, "Una Decima de Segundo". In 1988, Nacha Pop played a two-evening farewell concert, later released live as "80 88". "Lucha de Gigantes" was featured on the Amores Perros soundtrack.
