Motion City Soundtrack area five-piece out of Minnesota who put the band together when most of its members where still in high school. Inspired by the hard-hitting, emotional punk-tinged indie rock of Superchunk and Sunny Day Real Estate, the group set out to concoct their own blend of energy and harmony. The resulting effort was noticed by the punk junkies holding court at Epitaph Records who quickly signed the band and released their debut in 2003.
