Martin Solveig

Music > Martin Solveig
House artist Martin Solveig cut his teeth DJing over a decade ago at some of Paris’ cutting-edge clubs, and his first major hit was “Heart Of Africa”, which earned plaudits from Bob Sinclair and Frankie Knuckles when it was released in 1999. His first LP was 2002’s internationally successful and Africanesque “Sur La Terre”, followed by the 2003 club anthem smash “Madan”, a fave in the sets of David Morales and others. Easing back on the ethnic influences, Solveig put out “Rocking Music” in 2004, and his 2005 LP “Hedonist” continued in the same vein of funky, groovy house.
