Man is the Bastard are the proud pioneers of a genre known as power violence. Marked by noisy, grinding Hardcore riffs; shrieking vocals; and layers of vicious electronics, the San Francisco group is not to be taken lightly. A respected member of the underground scene since the early 1990s, the group continually stretches song form to its most harsh and abstract, stripping melody to bare notions of rhythm and texture. They have spawned several side projects/aliases, most notably Charred Remains and the power electronics of Bastard Noise. Feel the crust.
