MC Solaar

The French rapper MC Solaar was born as Claude M’barali in Senegal but later on moved to Paris where he released his debut single, “Bouge de La”, in 1990. He enjoyed an almost immediate success and went on to release his debut full-length offering, “Qui Seme le Vent Recolte le Tempo”, in the following year. In 1993 he guested on Guru’s album “Jazzmatazz”, which helped him break into the American market. Further releases by France’s most successful rapper included “Prose Combat” (1994), “Paradisiaque” (1997) and “La Tour de la Question” (1999).
