M
M is the stage name of Mathieu Chédid. He started very early playing music, thanks to his father, a well-known singer in France. As a teenager he played in a number of groups with friends, and quickly began to work as a studio musician for the likes of NTM, Sinclair, Nino Morato, and Faudel. In 1997 he released his first solo album, "Le Baptème", which broke through in the charts thanks to the single "Machisador". In 1999 M followed up with "Je Dis Aime", and a year later he won at the Victoires de la Musique awards. His flashy persona has captured the imagination of his fans.
