Renowned for playing norteno music in what's been dubbed their "estilo Chihuahua" -- named for their home state in Mexico -- Los Rieleros del Norte have established themselves as one of norteno's most solid bands. Now located in Pecos, Texas, the group was formed by brothers Daniel, Alfredo and Javier Esquivel and Eugenio Gonzalez in 1979 at a time when several of them were working on the railroads (hence the name). Over 30 albums later, many consider the group a trail-blazing act.
