Longwave
The post punk band Longwave was formed in 1999 in New York by Steve Schlitz (vocals/guitar), Shannon Ferguson (guitar), Dave Marchese (bass) and Mike James (drums). They signed a deal with New York’s Luna Lounge owner Rob Sacher, who founded Luna Sea Records to release the group’s debut “Endsongs”. In 2002 they released the “Day Sleeper” EP, which landed them an opening spot on the Strokes’ tour. Signing to RCA Records they began a collaboration with producer Dave Fridmann for their major label debut, “The Strangest Things”. The LP “There’s A Fire” appeared in 2005.
