The Australian rock group Little River Band was formed in 1975 and consisted of Glenn Shorrock, Graham Goble, Beeb Birtles and Derek Pellicci. They released their self-titled debut album in 1975, followed by “After Hours” in the same year. The song “It’s a Long Way There”, written by Goble, became a hit in America, followed by hits from later albums, such as “Help Is on Its Way” and “Reminiscing”. At the height of their international success the band replaced Shorrock with singer John Farnham, a move which proved popular in Australia but more or less finished their US career.
