As the lead singer with 90s combo 4 Non Blondes, Perry asked the question on everybody's lips: "Hey-ey-ey-ey, Hey-ey-ey, I said hey, What's goin' on?" The answer of course was that the world was just being introduced to Perry's prodigious talent, who went on to have a hit album with the all-female foursome and very nearly another - but instead, they split up.

However, it was only when Perry went solo in 1995 that things really shifted into gear. She started her own label, wrote, toured and performed, signed other bands and was hired by Pink to help write and produce her second album M!ssundazstood. Perry then wrote Beautiful for Christina Aguilera, Get The Party Started for Gwen Stefani and became pop production royalty.

Perry is now one of the most reverred pop production powers in the business we call show, and was also responsible for signing James Blunt to her own label Custard Records.
