Lila McCann
As is the case with many country singers, Lila McCann was born into a country music family. She sang "You Are My Sunshine" with her father's band at the age of four! When she was a freshman in high school one of her demo tapes was listened to by Elektra Records president Seymour Stein. Stein was so impressed that McCann was immediately signed to the Elektra/Asylum label. She released her debut album, "Lila", in June 1997. The album was a success and soon went gold. McCann followed her debut effort with "Something in the Air" in 1999 and "Complete" in 2001.
