LFO

The techno group LFO was the project of Sheffield musicians Mark Bell and Gez Varley. Though they have only released two records together, the duo is largely considered as one of the most important early contributors to British Techno. After releasing their debut LP, “Frequencies”, in 1991, featuring such tracks as “We Are Back” and “Love Is the Message”, the group disappeared for 5 years to return with the LP “Advance”. The same year the duo parted ways with Bell doing production work for Björk and Depeche Mode. In 2003 he released LFO’s 3rd LP, “Sheath”, without Varley.
