Koop are an electronic jazz and waltz music duo from Stockholm, Sweden. The two-piece act began during the mid-90's and consists of members Oscar Simonsson and Magnus Zingmark. Koop manages to seamlessly blend modern sample and loop-based electronic music with the type of jazz prevalent during the late 1920's and 60's. Koop released their debut LP entitled "Sons of Koop" in 1997, and after a long pause went on to release the "Waltz for Koop" LP in 2002. In 2006 the band issued the "Koop Island" album, which was recorded and mixed in the band's home studio.
